The Royal Wedding
On the 29.4.11 Arisaig Primary School had a Royal Wedding Playground Party to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middelton, Kate for short.
It was a lovely sunny afternoon an we all had a fantastic time. Sadly the primary sevens were not there to enjoy such happiness as they were at outward bound.
We all had different jobs to do, me (Roslin Wilkonson), Jenny Benfield and Sine Gibson buttered the rolls and Mrs MacDougall an our Swiss teacher Michael Zahnd made and served us succulent, delicious, juicy Aberdeen Angus burgers.
In addition to that everyone in the whole school, including the nursery, painted mugs and the Older Class as well as the infant class painted tiles; we painted them with porcelain pens and paints. There were lots of different picutres, Mrs MacDougall's class had a Royal Wedding theme but we didn't.
The infants made colourful crowns with feathers, glitter and pens; we had flags put up inside and outside the school. There was even a set of banners with a picture of Kate and William and the Union Jack as the background.
However the internet was so blocked up that thee onlz part we got to watch was when Kate was walking into Westminster Abbey.
We learnt how to paint with porcelain paints and mugs. I asked some people around the class about what they learned at our Royal Wedding Playground Party; Amy Kane said she learned how to paint tiles. Some uf us learnt how to use Purple Mash, a website which has educational games on it. Kirsty Buick said she learnt things about the Royal Wedding beause we had a disussion about it.
"I was amazed how much everybody hat learned throughout the whole school and it was a shame we couldn't get on the internet to watch the ceremony, it was a very fun and we all certainly enjoyed it." Mr Jones commented when I asked him what he thought of the day.
I hope this page a halve informs you well on what happened on Friday the 29th of April, I hope you, the reader, now has a good picture of our Royal Wedding Playground Party too.
